Requirements

Objective of the position:

The Demichef de Partie assists the Chef de Partie in the preparation and presentation of food in a specific area of the kitchen. He/she helps to ensure that all dishes are prepared and served to the highest standards and helps to maintain an efficient kitchen operation.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of food:

  • Assisting the Chef de Partie in the preparation and cooking of dishes
  • Adhering to recipes and presentation standards
  • Ensure high quality and consistency of foodOrganizationand cleanliness:
  • Ensuring that the work area is always clean, organized and ready for use
  • Compliance with hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen
  • Responsibility for the correct storage and handling of foodTeamworkand communication:
  • Communicate effectively with other kitchen members to ensure smooth operations
  • Collaborate with the Chef de Partie and other team members to achieve kitchen goals
  • Participate in team meetingsInventory controland purchasing:
  • Assist with inventory control and ordering of ingredients
  • Ensure minimal waste and optimal use of available resourcesMenu development:
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of dishes and menus in collaboration with the Chef de Partie
  • Creative input and support in the introduction of new dishes
