Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Professional reception and support of guests on arrival and departure (check-in and check-out).
  • Competent processing of reservations, telephone inquiries and emails in the front and back office.
  • Friendly and solution-oriented guest communication and fulfillment of individual guest requests.
  • Close cooperation with the housekeeping, kitchen and restaurant departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Cash management and accounting processes including checking and processing payments.
  • Maintaining and updating guest data in the hotel management system (Protel).
  • Processing complaints and grievances in close coordination with the hotel management.
  • Support with administrative tasks.
  • Coordination of guest transfers and activities as well as general concierge tasks.
  • Active participation in team meetings and passing on important information to the team.

Requirements:

  1. Work experience:
    • Completed training in the hotel or tourism sector (e.g. hotel specialist).
    • Professional experience at the hotel reception or in the front/back office, ideally in the upscale hotel industry.
    • Experience with hotel management systems (ideally Protel).
  2. Professional qualifications:
    • Strong guest service and communication skills.
    • Very good organizational skills and a structured way of working.
    • Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  3. Language skills:
    • Very good written and spoken German and English.
    • Other foreign languages an advantage (e.g. Italian, French, Russian).
  4. Personal skills:
    • Friendly, professional and well-groomed appearance.
    • High level of service orientation and hospitality.
    • Ability to work under pressure, even in stressful situations.
    • Ability to work in a team and strong communication skills.
    • Reliability and trustworthiness, especially in cash register and accounting tasks.
  5. Soft skills:
    • High social competence and intercultural sensitivity in dealing with international guests.
    • Flexibility and willingness to work weekends and public holidays.
    • Confident handling of guest requests and complaints.
    • Proactive and solution-oriented way of thinking.
