Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Support and representation of the restaurant manager in all operational and administrative matters
  • Ensuring the smooth running of restaurant operations
  • Monitoring and ensuring a high standard of quality and service
  • Coordinating reservations, placements and special guest requests
  • Working with the kitchen and other departments to ensure an excellent guest experience
  • Sharing responsibility for training and induction of new staff
  • Guest relations and complaint managementRequirements:
  • Work Experience:
    • Several years of professional experience in the upscale gastronomy or hotel industry
    • Experience in a management position, ideally as deputy restaurant manager, head waiter or chef de rang
    • Extensive knowledge of wine, beverages and upscale food service
  • Professional qualifications:
    • Completed training in the hotel or gastronomy sector (e.g. restaurant specialist, hotel specialist)
    • Further training in F&B management or restaurant management an advantage
    • Personal skills:
      • Leadership qualities and ability to work in a team: You are able to lead and motivate a team
      • Strong service and guest orientation: You have a high degree of empathy and excellent host behavior
      • Organizational talent and a structured way of working
      • Ability to work under pressure and flexibility, especially in times of high guest volume
      • Ability to deal with conflict and a confident demeanor, even in stressful situations
      • Strong communication skills and solution-oriented thinking
