Top training: How to become a whisky connoisseur
Whisky is becoming increasingly popular. At the same time, this means that bar and service staff are increasingly being confronted with questions about whisky. The "International Whisky Academy" is available for all service staff who want to further their education and make a name for themselves in a specific area. The graduates of the international whisky academy boast that they can taste the subtle differences, whet the appetite of non-experts and recommend the right whisky for the right moment.
Uwe Hoop, Danial Maltaric, Christian Lauper and Gilbert Kind - these four gentlemen are behind the IWA. The academy was the fulfillment of a dream of the four partners, who now run the academy on a collegial basis. The idea took a long time to mature before the foundation stone for the International Whisky Academy was laid.
Whisky courses
The Academy's basic course is aimed at spirits retailers, service staff and interested parties from all sectors who want to find their way around the whisky sector. Here you will learn all the important basic terms, from history and production to correct tasting, and thus get the first "tools" on the way to becoming a "whisky master". Completion of this course entitles graduates to participate in the Master's course. Completion of the Master's course confirms comprehensive knowledge of the origin, taste differences and history of whisky and also certifies professional whisky tasting and evaluation skills.
For service staff or bar staff, this is a wonderful way to further their education in a (still) niche area and to distinguish themselves with the title Master of Whisky IWA®. And of course, an additional qualification is not bad for your CV either.
